Preparation
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Higher elevations may require a higher temperature. Remember -- OVENS WILL VARY, so please adjust your temperature and cooking time to your specific oven.
Cooking Directions
- Place frozen scones onto a parchment-lined, ungreased baking sheet - evenly spaced. If you do not have parchment paper you can use cooking spray on baking sheet.
For best results, bake scones frozen - do not thaw!
Each oven varies, so if scones are baking flat and spreading out, try a slightly higher temperature. Or, if scones are not rising properly (i.e. a hard shell is forming), try lowering your temperature.
- Bake scones until golden brown and firm to touch, approximately 30-35 minutes for large scones (4 oz.), Baking times vary. Scones with fruit may take a little longer thatn other scones. Higher elevation will need less cooking time.
- Pull scones out of the oven. Serve with a glaze (glaze recipes below), whip cream, butter or as is.
- Sit back and enjoy the experience!

For blueberry lemon and lemon poppy seed scones:
Mix powder sugar, lemon juice, and grated lemon rind to a glaze consistency. Drizzle over warm blueberry or lemon scones.
For cranberry orange scones:
Mix powder sugar, orange juice, and grated orange rind to a glaze consistency. Drizzle over warm cranberry scones.
